How can I use my Student Discount on my already existing Microsoft 365 Family plan?

We just want to know how to apply the discount to an existing account

I originally purchased a 365 personal account for school and my university now has all students on their .edu email addresses. I was able to log into my 365 account under new .edu email address which is strange since I did not use that email to sign up initially. So I am wondering if I will be charged the 69.99 subscription fee upon my renewal time. I would like to take advantage of the student discount. Can you please adjust my account subscription to the student discount?
