Issue Opening Access Database

I have an Access Database that all of a sudden, I started getting an error, “Microsoft Access cannot open due to security restrictions”, when opening the database. But I’m the only one who gets this error, for everyone else it opens fine, and I created the database! I can’t change Trust Center settings, or edit the Registry, because they’re locked by Admin. Something with my Profile had to have changed, any ideas?

This is a Database I created about 10 years ago, it’s on a shared drive so multiple people can use it,

This is the WRONG configuration and may be, at least partially, a source of your problem.

EVERY multi-user application NEEDS to be split between a back end (the tables) and a front end (everything else). The back end should be on the shared network drive and the front end install on each user's PC.

You might consider reconfiguring as described and seeing if that helps your problem.

Yes, all Office Apps (Word, Excel, etc.)

These are two of the messages I get.

But, like I said, I'm the only one it's happening to, everybody else can open the files just fine.

It’s very aggravating because I created the Database and now I can’t open it to update the VBA Code.

When you say "all files with micro's", what other files would that include, Word, Excel, etc.?

Your IT has prevented you from changing Trust Center settings or editing the registry? Yet, they refuse to offer help?

Unfortunately, this is not an Access problem, nor is it likely to even be an Office problem.

As a reality check, please post a screen shot of the actual error message being displayed.

I tried that, they were no help! Is there some setting I could check and compare to another person's profile settings?

It's not just MS Access, it's ALL files with Macros, but I'm the only one. Very Odd.

Check with your IT support. Perhaps they did change something in your profile.
