Will an MS Plan disappear when I leave my organization?

Hello,

I have created an MS Plan with 65 members. I have just accepted a new role at another institution. When I leave and my MS account is deactivated, will my Plan disappear as well?

Thanks,

Christina

    Hi Waqas,

I do not have access to get into Microsoft 365 Admin Centre. I have followed up with a few team members and our own IT department to see if this is something they have access to.

    Thanks,

    Christina

    Hi respected Christina Berdine Dixon,

Thanks for your valuable feedback and sharing updates with us and I really appreciate your effort and your precious time doing.

And I appreciate your kind words.

As created Microsoft Planner connected to Office 365 group, you can go to Office 365 admin center > admin centers> Exchange>In the Exchange admin center > Recipients > groups > select the plan group > ownership to change the owner of the group, this will also change the owner of the plan.

Your understanding and patience will be highly appreciated. I hope that you are keeping safe and well!

    Sincerely,

    Waqas Muhammad

Thank you for your reply Waqas.

How can I transfer my plan to another team member? If a member copies the plan, will that one remain after my account is deactivated?

    Thanks,

    Christina

    Dear respected Christina Berdine Dixon,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

As per your description, when an employee leaves the organization, the Planner created by hm/her will delete once the account is deactivated. The plans are tied to your organizational account, so once you are no longer part of that organization, your plans may disappear or become inaccessible to you and potentially to the members.

Please understand that our initial reply may not always immediately resolve the issue. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

I'm sorry and I apologize for that.

Appreciate your patience and understanding and thank you for your time and cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Waqas Muhammad
