Text to speech - add pauses between sentences?

I'm trying to use text to speech for a product tutorial video and hope to make it work for multiple languages. I have found that the AI pays no attention to periods in the text (the end of sentences) and just plows through as fast as possible. I have found no way to add pauses in the audio either through the text input or in the edit screen. Ideally there would be a way to input a pause in the text and I would appreciate any help with this.

Using the edit screen is much more manually intensive, but even that does not work as expected. If I create a break in the audio and drag the remaining audio track to the right in order to create a pause, the audio just skips the words that would have come during the created pause period. Super frustrating!

Any help appreciated...

Hi Pavle - Yes mine looks like yours as far as I can see. I've added lots of periods. I'm using US English like yours. I notice a very slight pause where I have a period. But the extra periods do not lengthen the pause at all.

Ok. I just created new video. Simple one. Added text like on the image below. Please, check if you are doing something different? What language are you using? Is everything looks like in my image below?

That does not work for me. I added 12 periods. The AI just passes over them like they are not there. Any other ideas, please?

Period should do the trick. If you need longer pause, add more periods. Just tried :)
