I need to close out an old Microsoft Office account and transfer all the files to a new Microsoft Office account I just set up. How do I export all the old account data to the new account?

Hi, thanks for getting back to me. I'm an older gentleman not bad with the routine basics but slightly challenged when it comes to figuring out something like this.
To answer your questions:
Yes I would like to transfer most of my data to the new account.
I recently left a position with my old company. I've been using Microsoft Office 365 with them for years. I would love to continue using it. My old company needs to delete my old account subscription for a new position. Yesterday I got a new Office Home and Business subscription from Microsoft. I followed the install instructions, created a new email address to take the place of my old one. The program seems to have loaded just fine and I can get into the new programs. But, I cannot figure out how to transfer my old office files/data into my new office files.
I have changed the email address to a new one for the new program.
Yes it is Word, /Exel/Outlook emails/Calendar (although I can just rewrite the new one - so not needed)/One Drive/SharePoint/and OneNote. I don't think I've ever used any other programs.
Thank you. I'll try your suggestions - Back up with OneDrive to save it and upload it directly in the new account.
One more thing. I created a new gmail email address for the new account and tried to forward some older emails directly to the new email address. They went through, but directly to gmail and not into the new Outlook. Plus, the new Outlook address (gmail address) is showing a different address - it's a outlook live address that I don't recognize and can't seem to get rid of. How do I get the new Outlook to get my new emails. Does it not recognize/sync with the actual gmail address?
Thank you so much for your help. I genuinely appreciate it.

Hello,James Donadio
Welcome to the Microsoft community!
I have realized that your issues.
Before that, I would like to ask you for some information to better address your question.
Did you mention that you need to transfer all your data to the new account?
Can you please tell me the reason why your old account has to be closed even though you transferred so many files?
If it's the email number that you want to change, you can absolutely add an alias to your information in AMC and set it as the primary alias.
If you insist on changing your account, what exactly are the files you are transferring?
If it is Word, Excel documents and Outlook emails. I would recommend syncing to OneDrive and then transferring to another account via OneDrive!
Back up your folders with OneDrive - Microsoft Support
You can just save it locally and then log into another account to upload it directly.
But OneDrive only has an initial capacity of 5GB.
If you have an Office subscription you can check this site and contact Microsoft support to see if you can transfer it.
Transfer your Office license to another device or another person - Microsoft Support
But if it's a Microsoft 365 subscription it can't be transferred.
Feel free to post back if you need further assistance.
Thank you for your understanding and patience and I look forward to hearing from you.
