There is weird behavior seen in MS Teams. If I am on call it will keep using microphone forever till I'm not exiting Teams from system tray.

  • If microphone was on while disconnecting call it will keep using microphone forever in unmute state.
  • If microphone was mute while disconnecting call it will keep using microphone forever in mute state.

The only way to fix this is quit teams from system tray.

OS: Windows 11

Teams: 1.6.00.1381 (64-bit)

Thanks @Kael Yao & @Limitless Technology for posting your views. I have got recent update on Teams (1.6.00.4472 (64-bit)) and this issue is no longer visible.

    Hi @Sanjay,

May I ask what microphone you are using?

Is this listed in the USB audio and video devices certified for Microsoft Teams?

If not, it is possible that the microphone may not be fully compatible with Teams.

    Hello there,

Are you facing this Mic issue only with teams or other apps that use the Mic?

Have you made any recent updates to the teams or to the device ?

You can collect the Event and share them with the Microsoft team to get this sorted or get an appropriate workaround for this.

    -Download the process monitor tool.

    • Get a dump from the crashing process and share it through the feedback hub.

Process Monitor is an advanced monitoring tool for Windows that shows real-time file system, Registry, and process/thread activity. You can get the tool from here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/procmon

You can raise feedback to the Microsoft team. The Feedback Hub app lets you tell Microsoft about any problems you run into https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/send-feedback-to-microsoft-with-the-feedback-hub-app-f59187f8-8739-22d6-ba93-f66612949332

Hope this resolves your Query !!
