Recently, encountered a Windows update can not open Word, Excel, PPT, OneNote situation, click always appear “is updating microsoft 365 and office” interface, in the interface after waiting for a long time, followed by a pop-up error “The program could not start correctly (0xc0000142)”.

  • Press Windows + R, type appwiz.cpl, and press Enter.

  • Choose Quick Repair first and follow the prompts.
