Windows 11 has a FIPS-compliant cryptographic module that meets the requirements of FIPS 140-2. To enable FIPS mode in Windows 11, you need to follow these steps:

    1. Open the Local Group Policy Editor by typing "gpedit.msc" in the search box on the taskbar and pressing Enter.
    2. In the Local Group Policy Editor, navigate to Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options.
    3. Find the setting named "System cryptography: Use FIPS compliant algorithms for encryption, hashing, and signing" and double-click on it.
    4. Select the "Enabled" option and click OK.
    5. Close the Local Group Policy Editor and restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

Note: Enabling FIPS mode may impact the functionality of some applications that do not support FIPS-compliant algorithms. You should test your applications thoroughly before enabling FIPS mode in a production environment.0
