Unsend (or Recall) OneNote invitation?

I shared a OneNote Notebook/page with someone, and they haven't accepted the invitation yet so they aren't under Authorized Users yet for me to delete them. Is there a way to unsend the share or recall it somehow, or do I have to wait until they join the shared page for me to delete them?

    Dear Olivia Allen1,

    Good day to you!

I hope you are doing well. Thanks for reaching out to our Microsoft Community Forum. We will be happy to help you.

Unfortunately, once a sharing invitation has been sent in OneNote, there isn’t a direct way to unsend or recall it before the recipient accepts it. However, you can take steps to manage the situation and prevent access if needed:

    • Remove Access After Acceptance: If the recipient accepts the invitation, you can revoke their access. Open the shared notebook, go to File > Share > Manage Access, and remove the user from the list. This will immediately stop them from accessing the notebook.
    • Change or Disable Link Permissions: If you shared the notebook via a link, you can modify the permissions or disable the link entirely. Navigate to OneDrive where the notebook is stored, locate the shared link, and either change the permissions (e.g., restrict editing or viewing) or disable the link altogether.

These measures ensure you can maintain control over who accesses your shared content, even if the invitation has already been sent.

I do apologize for any inconvenience.

Thank you for your understanding. Your patience and cooperation are greatly appreciated.

    Best Regards,

    Nahid Sultan
