Too smart for your own good, eh? (Don't take offense. It happens to me as well.)

I am not sure that this situation is resolvable, but you could try adding an empty E: drive, for instance a USB stick and see what happens.

There are a few possible reasons why you may be having trouble uninstalling SSMS 19. Here are a few things you can try:

    1. Try uninstalling SSMS using the Control Panel:
      • Open the Control Panel in Windows and select "Uninstall a program"
      • Find SQL Server Management Studio 19 in the list of installed programs, and click "Uninstall"
      • Follow the prompts to complete the uninstall process
    2. Use a third-party uninstaller tool:
      • There are several third-party uninstaller tools available online that may be able to help you remove SSMS. Some popular options include Revo Uninstaller and IOBit Uninstaller.
    3. Delete SSMS files manually:
      • If neither of the above methods work, you can try deleting the SSMS files manually. To do this, navigate to the folder where SSMS is installed (typically C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 18). Delete all the files and folders associated with SSMS.

Note: Before trying any of these methods, make sure to backup important data and files to prevent data loss.

And what else then an error do you expect, when you do such system changes?

It appears to be a similar scenario as the one shared in this thread. Please check to see if this is helpful in your situation as well.
