Why does table alignment get messed up in Word on TEAMS

When working in a Word document in Teams, my coworkers and I have found that some rows within tables will become unaligned, seemingly on their own. The picture below is an example of this glitch, where rows 2-6 became out of alignment with rows 1, 7-10. Why does this happen and how can we stop it from happening? It happens quite often.

    Unfortunately, the online versions of Word tend to display a lot of content incorrectly, at least if you are displaying the document in the editing view. Personally, I haven't seen table issues, but I am not surprised to learn about them.

    Do the observed changes disappear if you open the document in a locally installed version of Word? Or are the changes permanent?
