I want to be able to create the survey in the Forms app, to then embed it into an email so that the receiver does not need to click a link.

The poll option within an email does not allow the creator to edit the survey in the Forms app. we are looking for a way to create the survey in Forms, then be able to embed it into an email so the receiver does not need to click a link to open the survey page, it is all there within the email.

    Hi NazneenNHS,

Greetings. Thank you for posting the thread to our community.

Based on your description, it seems you want to embed the created Forms survey into the email body so that the users don’t need to click the link to open the survey.

After my research and as far as I know, I’m afraid and sorry to say currently it is not available to embed the Forms into the email body. The current version of Microsoft Forms is only able to send form as link or embed the cover into the email body, end-users still need to click the link to get access to the form. For your reference: Send a form and collect responses - Microsoft Support. However, this feedback is also being required from many other users.

Personally, I’m also totally agree and understanding the convenience of being able to embed the form into email body so that users don’t need to click the link to complete the form, it is a great addition to the current features of Microsoft Forms. Due to this situation, I sincerely recommend you go to Feedback community to vote this similar feedback: Add ability to embed Form into an email · Community. Our product team is in charge of the site, and they constantly check customer reviews and feedback, The higher votes, the more attention the related team will pay on. And a lot of the features are developed and improved based on customer feedback.

Appreciate for your patience and understanding, and Hopefully Microsoft will make improvement soon.

Hope you having a nice day.

    Sincerely,

    Harry | Microsoft Community Moderator

Thanks Harry. Appreciate your prompt response. I have voted too.

I know we can create mini surveys via polls (on the web version) in Outlook. But the downside is that

    1. you cannot amend the survey in the Forms app - locked down.
    2. can not set the email to be sent out at set dates (i.e. a recurring feature), which would be super helpful when undertaking evaluations of projects.
