I have wordperfect as my office word processor and also subscribe to Microsoft Word 365 and locally on the MAC since there is no wordperfect for Mac. when I try to ope a Corel wordperfect file on the Mac it does not convert correctly generating just nonsense - there used to be a word plug in to convert .wpd files but I don't see one in the new version - I understand that Microsoft wold love to lock out the better option but this is a bit silly is there any option other than getting libra office for free on the Mac and then saving the file as an ode then opening in Microsoft? when I do this the formatting errors are significant

Microsoft removed the WordPerfect filters after WordPerfect for Mac was discontinued. There still are online services which convert for free such as Zamzar.

I believe the free LibreOffice word processor will open .wpd files also & can sve in .docx as well but I haven't attempted it in years.

Be aware that converted documents, from any file source, may look fine, but be difficult to edit.

Also, once edited in Word, conversion back may cause further problems.
