I have been trying to create a Table of Figures in Word Online by following the steps outlined in these articles:

However, I am facing an issue where several options are missing. Specifically, the option "References > Insert Table of Figures" is not available in the Word Online version I'm using. Can anyone guide me on how to access this feature or suggest an alternative method to create a Table of Figures in Word Online? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The Table of Figures in Word is a variation on the Table of Contents field.

You can insert a Table of Contents, but not, AFAIK, a Table of Figures.

    Copilot (unsurprisingly) gives meaningless instructions.

Generally, there are few fields addressable in the online program.

I know of no way of modifying them in the online program.

The online app is but a poor cousin in features to the desktop application.

My opinions on various Word offerings in a pdf.
