Issue with Article Link Preview Image in Emails

Hi,

When I share an article as a link via email, the preview image doesn’t appear correctly in the email.

To reproduce the issue:

  1. Open an article and hit Share.
  2. Select Send as email.
  3. Tick Send as link.
  4. Enter the recipient's email address.
  5. Click Send.

On the Send to email page, the preview displays correctly, showing the intended image. However, in the actual email received, only a generic thumbnail appears instead of the correct preview image.

If I don't tick Send as link, the article is sent with all images working as expected.

Any ideas on what might be causing this?

    According to my test, yes, I get the exact same behaviors as you. I followed the exact steps you mentioned in your query. We believe it’s an issue with a SharePoint service, and we have noticed multiple users reporting the same behavior on their end.
