In Microsoft Planner Schedule view, can you select how the tasks show to reflect the label they are assigned?

Currently, the Schedule view only shows if a task is completed (blue), past due (red), or pending (grey). That is rather useless color coding as I can tell if something is completed, due, or pending just by the date. I would like for it to show tasks based on how they are labeled in the Board view using the color options. Understandably, only one label can show per task in schedule view, but it would be more useful and wouldn't have me looking to switch my team to the "dayoftheweek.com" app.

    Dear respected MandyBPEL,

I went through your post carefully and do understand your great idea to show tasks based on their label color in Planner Schedule view. Unfortunately, it's really sorry to convey that currently there seems no out-of-box settings to achieve the same label preview in Schedule View.

However, I agree that it will be more user-friendly for customers requiring such a function to better manage and preview the specific tasks label in Schedule View. Given this situation, I sincerely recommend you use Feedback Community to suggest this feature limitation and add your valuable idea in the****Microsoft Planner Feedback Community****which is the best place to share ideas directly with the product building teamand improve the Microsoft Products.

Feedback submit by this way directly goes to the related team. This is the best way to let Planner development team aware of this idea and also know your requirements, your valuable ideas and suggestions will help improve the product and make it better for every user. Meanwhile, from my search for you just now, I also found there have many other users requesting the demand same as yours, so I attached the link here for you so that you can either click Voteon this: Change colour of tasks in the Schedule to align with assigned label colour · Feedback Community or post your own feedback.

Meanwhile, I will still keep your thread open and make sure other affected users can easily find the related information regarding to this necessary feature development to better preview label colors in Schedule View of Planner. Also welcome any available suggestions from other community members and MVPs.

Please correct me if I made any misunderstanding or if there have anything else I can do for you.

Your patience is highly appreciated. Hope you a brilliant year in 2025!!

    Best Regards,

    Mia
