Is a five licences One Drive Plan 2 purchase a MUST for eligibility for up to 5TB per user ?

Hi,

I currently have three business licenses in my organization and need more than 1TB of storage per user. I'm interested in OneDrive Plan 2.

In this scenario, would I be eligible for storage beyond 1TB per user, or would purchasing OneDrive Plan 2 be ineffective for my purposes?

Thanks

    Hi Enrique Fleischmann,

    Thank you for reaching out.

You can purchase OneDrive Plan 2 to increase your storage. If you have fewer than five licenses, you can manually increase the storage up to 5TB per user by going to the SharePoint Admin Center → Settings → OneDrive storage, and entering a value between 1024GB and 5120GB.

However, for unlimited storage, you need to purchase at least five OneDrive Plan 2 licenses. The five-license requirement is for unlimited storage, not for the 5TB increase.
