    Dear Pete,

    Good day!

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are glad to assist!

Based on your description regarding "set up auto bcc on sent emails". May I know if you are using Windows or Mac device? If you are using Windows device and Classic Outlook, below are the steps to set up a rule to auto BCC yourself on sent emails in Outlook:

    • Open Outlook.
    • Click on "File" in the top left corner-->Click on "Manage Rules & Alerts."
    • In the "Rules and Alerts" dialog box, click on "New Rule."
    • Select "Apply rule on messages I send" and click "Next."
    • In the "Which condition(s) do you want to check?" section, leave all options unchecked and click "Next."
    • In the "What do you want to do with the message?"  Since there's no BCC choose to "move a copy to the specified folder."
    • Click on the underlined word "SPECIFIED" and choose your inbox as the file you want the copy of sent (although you can choose any file)
    • Click OK--> Next--> ignore all the exceptions--> specify a name for the Rule (for example you can rename it as BCC MYSELF)
    • Click on Turn on and create this rule on all accounts (although I think it would also work with just clicking on "turn on")
    • Click on Finish --> Apply-->Click on Ok.

If you are using New Outlook on windows device, after thorough research and testing I found that this particular setting only exists in the classic Outlook and is not yet available in New Outlook for Windows at this moment. the new version of Outlook of Outlook on web are not supporting client-sides rules at this moment, Kindly note that The New Outlook is in a Preview state, and they are still working on the platform/foundation of the application itself. At this stage of the development, luckily, if you heavily rely on this feature, you may consider switching back to Classic Outlook toggling out of the new Outlook for Windows preview for now and follow above steps.

If you are not using windows device, would you mind to kindly provide the screenshot of the outlook version are you using? What version of Outlook do I have? - Microsoft Support

May I please know the account type are you using? Is it POP, IMAP or Exchange account?

May I know your current environment? Is It Exchange Hybrid, on-premises exchange (Exchange server) or pure cloud?

    Looking forward to your response!
