    The absolute cheapest is using Microsoft 365 Online at https://microsoft365.com/ . It is free. See https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/free-office-online-for-the-web . It won't have all the bells and whistles that the installed product has but it's very capable. The drawback is that it keeps your files online in OneDrive and there's only 5GB of storage for that. For $20/year, you can get the limit raised to 100GB. See https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/p/microsoft-365-basic/cfq7ttc0ktxs .

    "Basic" means what?
