I deleted a file 4 days ago thinking it would appear on my drive (it was in a shared folder) and now it doesn't appear anywhere, not even in the recycle bin and the owner of the folder doesn't see it either.

PLEASE, HELP ME.

    Dear sir,

Good day! Thanks for posting in Microsoft Community. I am happy to help you.

As per your description, I understand that you are trying to restore a deleted file from OneDrive.

May I know if my understanding is right? If so, please follow some steps to restore the file as it was deleted just 4 days ago. By defult all the deleted files from OneDrive goes to recycle been and store there for 30 days.

Step 1: As the file was in a shared folder, deleted file should be in the file owner’s recycle bin. Please ask the file owner to follow the article to restore file from OneDrive: Restore deleted files or folders in OneDrive - Microsoft Support

Step 2: If the file was deleted from the Recycle Bin and can’t find it in the owner’s recycle bin then check the file owner’s Second Stage Recycle Bin. Scroll to the bottom of the Recycle Bin page and click on Second Stage Recycle Bin to see if the file is still there and recover it.

Step 3: If the file owner still can’t recover the file, then please ask the file owner to restore OneDrive in a specific date. To do so you can follow this article Restore your OneDrive - Microsoft Support.

If the scenario above is not consistent with yours, you can also post back and point that out. At the same time, if you still can’t find the file then I sincerely request you to rise a support ticket and contact our support engineer. They have the required tools and permissions to assist you. Please follow the instructions below to open a support ticket.

If you are the Microsoft 365 admin of your organization, you can sign in to Microsoft 365 admin center with your Microsoft 365 admin account, and select Support > Help and support, enter your question and select Contact support. Otherwise, please refer to How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin?

If you still have further issues, feel free to post in this community again. I am always here to help you.

I appreciate your patience and understanding and thank you for your time and cooperation. Have a good day.

    Best Regards,
