OneDrive Couldnt start - please restart your computer Error code: -99, -99, -99

I have two accounts with OneDrive running on MacStudio M1Sequoia 15.3.2. It looks like OneDrive updated version to 25.046.0310 last night and now my personal account opens and works fine, but the 2nd instance of OneDrive (for work) tries to open and gets the the following message:

OneDrive Couldnt start - please restart your computer Error code: -99, -99, -99

OneDrive for my work account works absolutely fine on my MacBook Pro M4 - which is running OneDrive version 25.035.0223.0003

I assume that OneDrive for Business vs Personal is simply the account that is logged in with ? There is no different to the 'app' running on the Mac ?

Is this a bug introduced with latest version of OneDrive ?

Its obviously critical for work !

Please advise.

I've had a further response from MS Support, with the following instructions and a link, this time to the Mac version of the app ! I wont be applying this as the standalone version is working for me and I'd rather wait until the app is fixed...

    1. Close OneDrive: Ensure the OneDrive application is closed to prevent any conflicts.
    2. Navigate to the Cache Folder:
      • Open Finder.
      • Press Command + Shift + G to open the "Go to Folder" dialog.
      • Enter the following path: ~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.OneDriveSyncClientSuite/OneDrive.noindex/OneDrive
    3. Delete Cache Content: Delete the contents of this folder.
    4. Restart OneDrive: Open the OneDrive application again. It will recreate the necessary cache files as needed
      Uninstall OneDrive:
      • Open Finder.
      • Go to the Applications folder.
      • Find OneDrive, right-click on it, and select "Move to Trash".
    5. Remove OneDrive Configuration Files:
      • Open Finder.
      • Press Command + Shift + G to open the "Go to Folder" dialog.
      • Enter ~/Library/Containers and click "Go".
      • Find the com.microsoft.OneDrive-mac folder and delete it

After the last step proceed to restart your Mac and install the latest version- https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=823060

Well, after updating to mac Os Sequoia 15.4, none of the three one drive instances (two business and one personal) works anymore with the same error.

    Great.

Will try the posted solutions later.

Same thing happened to me after installing the update. About to try the solution (?) that was just posted.

I hate it when MS pushed a buggy update to Mac users. Not the first time.

Same error here after updating today. I got two business accounts and a personal account; in my case one of the instances tied to business accounts it's crashing. The other two work fine.

Yes, clearly a bug - the purpose of posting on a user forum was to see if other users were experiencing the same issues on MAC moving from version 25.035.0223.0003 to 25.046.0310 - which was released on 28th March 2025 ?
