    Dear Mark Gerald Galindo,

    Thank you for reaching out.

According to my tests and research, there is currently there are no watermark feature available in Microsoft Word for the web.

As a workaround, you can follow the steps below to achieve your requirement:

    • First, find a watermark image online. (Please note that the background must be transparent, as shown in the screenshot.)

    • Go to Insert → Picture, and insert the image.

    • Right-click on the image and select Behind Text to position it as a watermark.

You are absolutely right—this is a critical function that should be available in Microsoft Word for the web. Please inform the Microsoft development team by providing feedback so they can implement this feature in a future update.

    Hi Mark Gerald Galindo

I am Shakiru, and I am glad to be helping you out today.

It appears Word Online does not support watermarks. If you need to add a watermark, you might want to use the desktop version of Microsoft Word.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

    Thank you.

    Best Regards,

    Shaakiru
