Hi, Tayyab Shahzad
Welcome to the Microsoft Community.
For error 2603, there may be issues such as "TLS, proxy, or firewall security protocol configuration that may cause Office to not correctly establish a connection to the Microsoft server." It is recommended that you follow the following steps to check one by one:
- Check TLS settings:
Press the Win + R keys, type "inetcpl.cpl" to open the Internet Properties window, switch to the "Advanced" tab, scroll down to the "Security" module, and make surethat "Use SSL 3.0", "Use TLS 1.0", and "Use TLS 1.1" and "Use TLS 1.2" (checked together if TLS 1.3) are enabledand click OK. This step ensures that Office uses the latest encryption protocol when turned on or connected, thus avoiding connection issues caused by protocol mismatch. 2. Check the network environment and firewall settings:
- Make sure you're in a proxy server or VPN environment, and if so, disable or temporarily adjust the settings to ensure that Office has direct access to the Microsoft activation server.
- Check your Windows firewall or other security software settings and, if necessary, try temporarily disabling the firewall to test if activation fails due to blocking specific URLs. Go to the **connections**tab and **uncheck**the proxy option.
At the same time, perform the following steps to reset your network, run the command prompt as administrator ("Win*" + "Q" logo key, type "cmd", select "Run as administrator")* and type the following commands one by one.
netsh int ip reset
netsh winsock reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winhttp reset proxy
