Why won't Clipchamp ever open?

Everytime I try to open the Clipchamp app to edit a video, it never opens like it's supposed to, instead it will just show this screen forever! I've been having this problem for at least 2 weeks now. I theorized that it was because there were some files in my project that I had already put into the project and used, but I deleted them off my computer, so that made Clipchamp glitch, but I'm not 100% sure if that's the reason. How do I get it to actually open?

I appreciate your help, but nothing is working. I tried all 3 methods you suggested, but none of them worked. When using the web version of Clipchamp, it doesn't load either. Is there any other way I can get the app to work without deleting any of my videos?

I'm having the same issue, Clipchamp just stays on the loading screen. I've tried repair, reset, uninstall, re-installed. Still just sits on the loading screen. Perhaps related, I can't get Minecraft (a microsoft product) to log me in either. Somehow I think they're related, but no solution yet!

    I had the same issue.

I resat the app. Then saw the introduction screen with account selection. If I chose my Personal Microsoft Account (PSA), the web app works. However, if I choose my Entra ID account, the app returns into a broken state.

I remember there being something about Clipchamp is not part of A1 licences. But that message is no longer shown. Maybe a regression?

How 'bout this repeat error? "Support" was no help - asking the dunce 'did I clear my cache?' 'did I save it in my e-drive?' 'did I update the app?'

Hello Karen Taylor3,   Welcome to the Microsoft Community. Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community Support. I understand that you are currently experiencing the issue of Clipchamp being stuck on the loading screen, I fully understand your confusion and you can troubleshoot the issue by following the steps below:

    Force restart the application

Open Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Esc → Right click on “Clipchamp” → Select “End Task”.

Restart the app to test if it works.

    Clear App Cache

Press Win + R, type ms-settings:appsfeatures and enter.

Find Clipchamp → Click on “Advanced Options” → Scroll to the “Reset” section:

Try clicking “Repair” first (it won't delete data).

If that doesn't work, click on “Reset” (this clears the local cache but keeps your account information).

Checking for App and System Updates

Open Microsoft Store → Click “Library” on the left side → Click “Get Updates” button.

Go to Settings > Windows Update → Check for and install the latest system patches.

If the issue is still not resolved, the web version of Clipchamp can be accessed through a browser and functions exactly as the desktop version, without the local cache.

I hope this has been helpful! Best RegardsEliac.S - MSFT | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
