Hello, I need to export a powerpoint file as a high quality image at 300DPI or more. I have followed the steps outlined on this page:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/troubleshoot/powerpoint/change-export-slide-resolution, but I am not able to export it at 300 DPI. The PNG files that I export are only 196DPI. How do I overcome this issue? Attached are screenshots of the DPI value and me editing the Powerpoint registry.

I need a large, high quality image for a Science Fair Board that I am printing out. Right now it is 54x48in. If I split it into a 48x21in and a 48x33in will that be enough to stay under the limit? Is there a work around?

I have restarted my laptop, and still no success. I tried Save a Copy, but it produced the results outlined in the screenshots above. I am trying the office repair tool. Do I repair "Microsoft 365"? I don't see a option to repair powerpoint. Thanks John.

I believe Windows 11 users using AutoSave see Save a Copy instead of Save As.

Using your method should work to provide 300 d.p.i. bitmaps.

I have been using "Save a copy"/"Export" buttons. Where is this "save as" button that you are referring to? Thank you for your assistance.

Sorry, I'm not able to duplicate that result. Setting ExportBitmapResolution to 300 decimal results in a 300 d.p.i. export here.

Are you using File>Save As and choosing PNG as the format? Or right-clicking on graphics and selecting Save As Picture? The export resolution settings only work with the File>Save As method.

If that's not the problem, reboot your computer and test again. Changed registry settings may only be read when the computer restarts.

If that doesn't fix it, try an Office Repair. The Online Repair option is more thorough.
