I entered my Microsoft Office Home product key, it was verified, I chose to "Download 32 Bit" but I received a message:

"Service is Unavailable. We are currently experiencing technical difficulties, please try again later."

When will this be working again?

    >>Thanks for your response, I just tested yesterday and it's not working. However, I do believe it has something to do with the new license. Apparently my consumer profile won't let me download a volume license. The website at setup.office.com should say this, instead of just giving a general error. Why even have licensing differences if you're not going to commit to systems that properly support them? All this does is sow confusion and hassle. ADVICE: if you're getting this problem you probably have a business license. To make this work use the ODT tool, and install it on a domain based laptop, not one with a consumer Microsoft account. That resolved my issues.

Thanks for the update. I did not know these details, but I am not surprised. The Office LTSC releases (for example Office Professional 2024 and Office Professional Plus 2024) are now completely separate from consumer/retail licenses. See https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/ltsc/2024/overview.

I have the same problem and probably millions of other users as well. I think this is just a dirty trick by Microsoft trying to drive Office users to the subscription-based 365. Useless you buggers! I'm not doing it. I will move to another office suite altogether. (No) regards Joerg
