My status bar is missing at the bottom of my word document. There seems to be no way to get it back.

    Is it possible that the bottom of the Word window is just below the edge of the screen? If you maximize the window, can you see the status bar? If so, restore the window back "down." Assuming you can see the top of the window, drag it down to make the window smaller. Then click on the title bar and drag it up until you can see the bottom of the window.

    Are you saying that commands are missing that you would like to see?

    Or are you saying that the actual status bar appears to be missing (hidden from view)?

    We're sorry to hear about the issue with status bar in Word. If you are using Word desktop app, please refer to below suggestions to check the outcome:

    1. Navigate to View and select Print Layout. Image
    2. Please check if Word window is full size, the status bar may be there but the window may be dropped down so it does not show.
    3. Online Repair Office: Repair an Office application - Microsoft Support

    In the meantime, to help you better, we would like to collect more detailed information you're experiencing so that we can have a further investigation:

    1. Could you please share some screenshots of the issue encountering with us? Can you see the zoom bar?
    2. Does this happen to all files or the specific file?
    3. If other Office applications have the same behavior, like Excel/PowerPoint?
