My copilot says I reached the "daily limit" after one (1) image.

I use copilot image generation mostly to generate small simple images to add to my presentations.
Today I tried to do the same, the first image worked just fine, but when I tried to generate a second image I got the "daily limit reached" message.

Is there any fix to this other than wait for tomorrow and hope it works then?

Yea seriously. With so many other (better) advanced AI engines, apps and sites, no one will have incentive to purchase a now neccessary Microsoft 365 Copilot license. Copilot was only my backup ai image generator for our business account. A 1 image a day limit is absolutely ridiculous.

MC1064749 - Microsoft 365 Copilot: Image Generation Usage Limit for Users without a Copilot License

    Severity : normal
Workload : ["Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365)"]
    category : stayInformed
Message Link : See in Message Center
    Content :

Commercial users who do not have the Microsoft 365 Copilot license will no longer have unlimited use of AI image generation in Copilot Chat.

    [When this will happen:]

The rollout of an image generation usage limit for Copilot Chat users without a Microsoft 365 Copilot license will begin late April 2025.

[How this will affect your organization:]

Currently, Microsoft 365 commercial users of Copilot Chat can generate an unlimited number of images. Starting in late April 2025, users of Copilot Chat without a Microsoft 365 Copilot license will have a daily limit on the number of images they can generate. The daily limit for images is not publicly disclosed and is subject to change. Once they reach the daily limit, they may receive an in-product message informing them that they have reached their daily allotment for image generations and will need a Copilot license to create additional images or to wait until the next day when their allotment refreshes.

[What you need to do to prepare:]

This change will happen automatically by the specified dates. No admin action is required.

You should ensure that any users who wish to have unlimited AI generation of images and visual artifacts are licensed for Microsoft 365 Copilot.

Please notify your users affected by this change and update any relevant documentation.

I have the same problem since today. All of our employees can only generate 1 image before the daily limit is exhausted.

This is happening in Corporate Copilot environment as well today. I have generated many images over the last few months. However, today it only allowed one image. And after I got the message that the daily limit has been reached, ALL of my images every generated are replaced with a "Daily limit reached. Create more images after your limit resets tomorrow" image.

I have a license and work at one of the largest universities in the country. This is unacceptable. You'll gladly take money from us but restrict us to one image a day? Even ChatGPTs free service give me 5. Greedy billion dollar business
