I just received notification of a 30% increase in my account. This is excessive! I am a pensioner and my pension increases by 5%. Please offer a discount or simpler family package (I don't want AI features!) or I may have to cancel my subscription. Please help?

    Hi John,

I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.

Apologies for any inconvenience you are experiencing. I am happy to help you today.

Microsoft still offers Microsoft 365 Classic subscription. Here is a guide for that:

    https://www.yourwindowsguide.com/2025/04/use-mi...

To obtain a reduced-rate Microsoft 365 subscription without Copilot, follow these steps:

Log In to Your Microsoft Account: First, visit the Microsoft account services page and log in with your credentials. The link for it is here.

    https://account.microsoft.com/services

Manage Subscription: In the next step, look for your Microsoft 365 subscription and select the Manage option. Then, you should find an option labelled Cancel subscription.

Select the Classic Plan: After cancelling, you may be prompted to switch to one of the Classic plans available. These include:

Microsoft 365 Personal Classic (approximately $69.99 per year)

Microsoft 365 Family Classic (roughly $99.99 per year)

Confirm Changes: Concurrently, Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm your downgrade to the Classic plan. Be aware that the new subscription will take effect upon your next billing cycle.

I hope this information is helpful. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to us. Good luck!
