My Huion drawing tablet doesn't work properly with my one note anymore

I've used this drawing tablet for the past years and it worked perfectly up until a couple of weeks ago.

First of all, the Draw tab doesn't select automatically anymore. When i click with the "select cursor" using my pen, i can't unclick anymore. One note detects that i took off my pen tho because the selection rectangle stops where it is and gets stuck on the screen. Still stuck there, if i pan my pen to the sides, the whole page tilts in that direction as if i had the middle mouse button pressed and panning to the sides. I can't click anything in the OneNote app and i'm forced to alt-tab to be able to interract with one note again. This issu happens with the select cursor, the erraser cursor and it used to happen with the drawing pens aswell. when i went in the OneNote advanced setting and unchecked every box in the pen section, the drawing pen cursors seemed to work but all the rest stayed problematic.

This issue only happens when i use the pen, but not with my wireless mouse or mousepad.

I reinstalled one note completely and reinstalled the new drivers for the tablet, but the problem persists.

Here is a link to video that shows exactly what i'm experiencing : https://imgur.com/a/onenote-ZchpsUh

I'm using a Huion INSPIROY H950P as a drawing tablet.

i'm currently using OneNote on my laptop with Windows 11

    • I'm using OneNote for Microsoft 365 the business/education accont
    • I have tested my pen with Word and PowerPoint and it works perfectly. Although it doesn't select the draw tab automatically, but if i manually select it, i can draw and erase without issues.
    • I have also tested the pen in Krita and it works perfectly.
    • when OneNote is closed, i can use the pen normall in windows settings and scrolling in browser. It's a bit laggy tho and there's a slignt delay when i input commands.

    Dear Ted,

Good day! Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community—I’m happy to assist you.

To better understand the issue, could you provide some additional information?

    • Are you using OneNote for Microsoft 365, or a different version?
    • Are you using OneNote with a personal account or a business/education account?
    • Have you tested your pen with another drawing program? Does it work correctly there?
    • Try using your pen in Microsoft Word or another Office app, if the same problem occurs, it may be related to your tablet or its drivers.
    • When OneNote is closed, does your pen function normally in Windows settings or when scrolling in a browser?

Your insights will help narrow down whether the issue is specific to OneNote or related to your tablet and drivers. Looking forward to your update!

Thank you for your valuable time.

    Best Regards,
Mia - MSFT | Microsoft Community Support Specialist.
