Same issue for me. Sticky notes are gone. I am signed in to my Microsoft account and pay for m365 personal.

All of my notebooks are still there but all of the sticky notes are gone. There is no sticky note app in the play store and the web link you shared loads a blank page.

    What is going on?

    Dear Najat,

Thank you for reaching out and providing detailed information about your missing Sticky Notes in the OneNote app on your Android phone. I understand how concerning it is to lose your notes, and I’m here to help you explore ways to recover them.

Based on your description, it seems the notes may not be syncing properly because the Sticky Notes feature in OneNote is designed to work best when signed in with a Microsoft account and synced across devices. Since you mentioned you started signing in only after the notes disappeared and that syncing is not currently active, this might be why your notes are not showing up.

Here are some suggestions to help you troubleshoot and possibly recover your Sticky Notes:

    1. Check the Sticky Notes App on Your Android Device

    • Microsoft Sticky Notes is a separate app from OneNote. Please check if you have the Sticky Notes app installed on your Android device.
    • If not, you can download it from the Google Play Store here:
Microsoft Sticky Notes - Google Play Store
    • Open the Sticky Notes app and sign in with your Microsoft account to see if your notes appear there.

    2. Sync Your Notes Properly

    • Ensure you are signed in to the same Microsoft account in both the Sticky Notes app and OneNote app.
    • Sticky Notes created in OneNote sync to the Sticky Notes app and vice versa, but only when signed in with the same account.

    3. Access Sticky Notes via Web

    • You can also try accessing your Sticky Notes online to check if your notes are stored in the cloud:
      https://www.onenote.com/stickynotes
    • Sign in with your Microsoft account and see if your notes are available there.

    4. Check for App Updates

    • Make sure both the OneNote and Sticky Notes apps are updated to their latest versions on your Android device.

    5. Backup and Export Notes in the Future

    • Once your notes are recovered, consider backing them up or exporting them regularly to avoid data loss.

If your issue is still ongoing, I truly want to make sure you receive the help you need. To give your case the best possible chance of being resolved quickly and thoroughly, I would gently encourage you to re-post your question in the Outlook Personal/Home community. This will ensure that your concern reaches the right team, those who specialize in personal account issues and have the tools and access needed to assist you more directly.

Here is the link to the appropriate community: Create a new question or start a discussion

I completely understand that this may feel like one more step in an already frustrating process, but I genuinely believe it will help us move forward more effectively. The community receives a high volume of questions, and posting in the correct section will make it much easier for someone like me to locate your case and respond promptly.

Please know that you’re not alone in this. I’m here with you, and I’m more than happy to help you craft your post or guide you through the process if needed. Your experience matters deeply to me, and I’m committed to doing everything I can to help you find a resolution.

I truly hope you understand that the initial steps I suggested may not have completely resolved the issue, as there might still be underlying causes we haven't uncovered yet. Please know that I’m here with you every step of the way, ready to work together and do everything I can to help troubleshoot and find the best solution.

If the information above is helpful, kindly mark it as an answer. This will also assist others in the community who may have similar questions complexity.

    Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

    1. Are you using a personalwork, or school Microsoft account?  I think I am using a personal! I think feel like I wasn't using an account though, once all my sticky notes were gone I signed in with my microsoft account since I thought I might just have beed logged out. But in that account I could only find a couple of old notes.
    2. Did you use the Sticky Notes app, the OneNote app, or access them via a web browser (like Outlook.com or OneNote Online)?
It's the OneNote app on my android phone.
    3. Did you notice the Sticky Notes were missing only on your Android device, or are they also gone when you check on a computer (e.g., Windows PC or Mac)?  I never used it on any other device before they were missing
    4. Have you recently signed out, changed your account, updated the app, or switched devices?  No, I only started signing in and out after the notes were gone
    5. Are your notes syncing across devices? Do you see any error messages?  No they aren't. I did sign into it on my laptop today to see if maybe my phone is the issue but it says that sticky notes aren't compadible with mac
    6. When did you first notice the Sticky Notes were missing?  Yesterday
    7. Have you ever backed up or exported your notes before?  No I have never backed up or exported my notes
