When posting the following URL into a browser, I would expect the convertedTime field timeZoneDisplayAbbr to contain the three letter abbreviation "GMT" however, it contains the three letter abbreviation "IST" which could be either "Indian Standard Time" or "Irish Standard Time".

https://dev.virtualearth.net/REST/v1/TimeZone/Convert/?datetime=2022-02-05T13:38:36Z&desttz=Europe/London&key={bing maps key}.

Am I using this feature incorrectly? Or is there a problem with the TimeZone service?

    Hi @Tim Salmon ,

The issue comes from GMT actually having a one to many mapping in our dataset and, oddly, IST was the first result returned. A fix is in the pipeline for release right now but as the release portal runs many tests then deploys regionally I can't give you an exact time for the fix to reach final deployment but we expect it to be live by the end of the week.

    Sincerely, IoTGirl
