OneNote on iPad Shortcuts for hyperlinks and heading styles

I’ve had the iPad pro for a couple of years and was quite surprised that the keyboard shortcuts for heading styles and hyperlinks didn’t work yet.

Shortcuts on Mac:

Insert hyperlink: cmd + K

Heading styles 1, 2, 3,..: opt + cmd + (1 OR 2 OR 3 etc.)

I bought an iPad to replace my Mac when travelling, and this app is really good.

But these missing shortcut is really constricting my efficiency so much that I just bring my Mac.

Does anybody know a workaround? (PS, cmd + K creates a hyperlink when writing this text on my iPad…)

    Dear Ajjjo,

Thank you for sharing your question with the Microsoft community.

I understand that you would like to be able to use shortcuts for some of the functions in OneNote on the iPad, and I understand that this would be more convenient for you to work on when you are travelling as opposed to a Mac.

Actually, you can't use shortcuts directly on the iPad, so I'm assuming you're using an external keyboard? Just to explain, according to the official article, the shortcuts in OneNote only support the following four methods:

While the iPad + external keyboard is not a complete replacement for the Mac at this time, you can try a combination of manual actions + some shortcuts or use a trio of tools to improve efficiency.

We hope the iPad and OneNote developers can optimise more features in the future.

Thank you for your understanding and have a nice day!

    Best regards
