Is it possible to enable "OR" condition in the views filters, when using related entities?

Within D365 CRM views, we are currently unable to use 'OR' conditions when filtering parent and related entities. For example, I would like to create a filter where Contact Name = X OR Related Account = X. Currently, we can only use 'AND' conditions when building these filters. Could this be considered for the next release? It would greatly enhance users' ability to utilise the filters to their full potential.

    Hi Izabela,

Thank you for raising this, I completely agree that the ability to use OR conditions across related entities in Dynamics 365 CRM views would be a huge improvement. Many users, including myself, have encountered this limitation when trying to build more flexible and user-friendly filters.

Currently, the view editor only supports AND logic when combining filters across parent and related entities, which restricts how we can surface relevant data. Being able to define filters like:

    Contact Name = X OR Related Account = X

…would make views far more powerful and intuitive, especially for users who rely on quick access to segmented data without needing custom development or external tools.

To help bring this feature to the product team’s attention, I highly recommend:

Visiting the Microsoft Feedback Portal: https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com

Search for similar suggestions like: “Enable OR conditions in views across related entities”, “Advanced filtering logic in D365 views”. Vote for existing posts or submit a new one if none match your case.

The Dynamics 365 product team actively monitors that portal, and features with higher votes are more likely to be prioritized in future releases.

If this reply helps clarify the current limitation and next steps, please consider marking it as the answer so others with the same question can find it more easily and join the feedback effort.

Let’s keep pushing for improvements that make D365 more powerful for everyone!

    Best regards,

Thu-D / Microsoft Community Support Specialist

Thank you for your prompt response Thu-D.

I'll submit this as feedback on https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com. Could you please advise which "form" should I select in this case? I cannot see Microsoft D365 CRM form, only Copilot and Lighthouse.
