Having issues with Onedrive on the Web and it will not pop up the print dialog in Chrome or edge for PDFS

Clicking the print button does not pop up any print dialog.

Opening the browsers in incognito or Private Browsing allows the pop up to open with no issue.

No plugin's installed on the browsers.

Has anyone seen this before?

    Dear Christopher,

    Nice to meet you!

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community regarding the PDF print functionality within OneDrive on the Web when using Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

This behavior may stem from browser-specific session handling, cached data, or privacy settings that interfere with OneDrive's PDF viewer. While Incognito mode disables most cached and cookie-related elements, regular sessions may retain a configuration that blocks popup triggers unintentionally.

To address this issue, we suggest the following actions:

    1. Clear Cached Data:
    • Go to browser settings and fully clear cache and cookies (select “All time” for time range).

    1. Review Site Permissions in Managed Browsers Confirm that pop-ups are permitted for onedrive.sharepoint.com
    • For Chrome and Edge:
    • Navigate to browser settings:
    • Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings > Pop-ups and redirects
    • Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Pop-ups and redirects
    • Add onedrive.sharepoint.com as an allowed site.
    • In centrally managed environments, please verify that no Group Policy or Intune profiles are blocking pop-ups or script execution for SharePoint Online services.
    1. Check Privacy Configurations:
    • Disable “Block third-party cookies” temporarily and test print behavior.
    • Review browser flags (e.g., chrome://flags) for custom settings that may affect modal or print dialog rendering.
    1. Use Default Browser Setup:
    • If custom security extensions or system-level filtering tools are installed, test with a fresh browser profile to rule out environment conflicts.
    1. Temporary Workaround:
    • Using Incognito/Private mode continues to be a reliable workaround while the behavior is being investigated further.

Your attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence with OneDrive are greatly appreciated. Please let us know if you encounter this behavior across other environments or require further troubleshooting.

We hope you have a great day!

    Warm Regards,

    Thank you Chris,

Turns out the issue ended up being that the Browser was also not fully up to date.

I had checked it once but one of my co-workers checked the next day and it had an update that resolved the issue.

    Thank you,
