Permissions issue with Sharepoint Lists

Hello. I have created some sharepoint lists to use these instead of Excel documents going forward, however I am trying to restrict access to a list and don't have the permissions apparently. When I go to list settings, I don't have the option to edit permissions -

I am an owner of the sharepoint site and I am the only who created the lists we have. I have the option to edit permissions on all other lists I have created, just not this one. Unfortunately, this list has a number of flows associated with it in power automate so I really don't want to have to start again somewhere else. I have tried to create a new list, from this one, and I have full edit permissions access to the new (copied) list I created.

This is how List Settings looks on any other list I created....

I have the option to click on and edit permissions....

I'm wondering why I can't edit permissions in this list but I can in others....If anyone has any suggestions that would be much appreciated!

The only difference I can think of between the lists, is that on the list I cannot edit permissions, I have collaborated with 2-3 other colleagues, and they have not yet collaborated on any other list....could this collaboration mean I can no longer edit permissions?

Thank you in advance...

    Hello Rob,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community and sharing your concern.

I would like to confirm the followings:

    1. What's the current number of list items for affected list? Just to ensure it hasn't exceeded the view threshold - 5000 items.
    2. Does this affected list inherit permission from site collection or it has unique permission?
    3. You can still manage list item via: select item > manage access > advanced setting to restrict access, am I right?

After you confirm all above, I would recommend you log a ticket from Microsoft admin center to online support team to involve the backend team to check further.

    Best regards,

Thank you Nero. It turns out someone (possibly me in error) had removed permissions only for this list for the Sharepoint owners group, now I can edit permissions again. Sorry for the needless post in the end!
