I’ve been working on my university paper for the past days but now I can’t find the document, thinking maybe the sudden shutdown may affect anything.

Now, can you guide on how to get back my paper and I really can’t lost these days of work and the due is coming soon.

    Dear respected loofte_024,

As described, it looks like an important Word document was now accidentally missing from your side, and now you are looking for a way to recover it because you have just edited it during the past few days on the Word for iOS application. Please correct me if I made any misunderstanding.

If I understand correctly, I need to know if the paper document was stored under the OneDrive space before? If so, check if it is in the OneDrive Recycle Bin. Reference: Restore deleted files or folders in OneDrive - Microsoft Support

If there didn't include the related document in OneDrive Recycle Bin or it was saved into local drive like Files, since currently there has no official cache for missing files in Word for iOS application at users end, as a community moderator I may have limited troubleshooting suggestions offer to you here. However, to ensure that you can get dedicated support from engineers who can perform remote sessions to access your device backend and investigate further to find out if there are other options to recover the file, I suggest contacting the Microsoft online support team, where engineers can provide more support resources for your scenario like remote session:

Please accept my sincere apologies to guide you to a higher support channel, as I want to make sure you can get escalated support after recovering your important files and data. I appreciate your time and patience in reviewing my response. I hope you stay healthy and safe!

    Sincerely,

    Mia | Microsoft Community Moderator
