A family of Microsoft word processing software products for creating web, email, and print documents.
Hi MUHAMAD SHAFIQ,
Thank you for your question! To better assist you, could you please help clarify a few things:
- Which view mode are you currently using in Word? (e.g., Print Layout, Web Layout, Read Mode, etc.)
- How are you trying to zoom in/out? Are you using the zoom slider, keyboard shortcuts, or mouse scroll?
- Does this issue happen with all Word documents, or only with specific ones?
- Are you using Word on the desktop (application) or Word Online (browser version)?
Once I have this information, I’ll be able to guide you more accurately.
In the meantime, you can try the following solutions:
1**. Turn off “Side to Side” view**
This is the most effective fix and often resolves zoom issues:
- Open the Word document
- Go to the View tab on the ribbon
- In the Page Movement group, select Vertical instead of Side to Side
After switching to Vertical view, the zoom slider should reappear in the bottom-right corner.
2. Restore the Zoom Slider
If the zoom slider is missing:
- Right-click on the status bar at the bottom of the Word window
- Make sure Zoom Slider and Zoom are checked
- The zoom controls should now be visible again
3. Use the View Menu to Zoom
If the slider doesn’t work, you can zoom manually:
- Go to the View tab
- In the Zoom group, choose a preset like 100%, Page Width, or Many Pages
- Or click Zoom to open the dialog box and enter a custom percentage
Please try these steps and let me know if the issue persists. I’m here to help!
