Reuse Slide feature in Powerpoint 365 no longer working?

When I try to use the Reuse Slide features in Powerpoint 365, it tells me 'This feature is deprecated'. Is this feature now no longer supported?

I have tried this over the last two months, and with two different laptops, with the same results. There's no connection issue, and no further help provided by the error message.

Hi Luc. Long time no see!

    I'm doing well; you?

PPT 2021 and 2024 both still have Reuse Slides.

2021 is the Professional Plus edition (enterprise/mvp subscription/etc)

2024 is the Home and Business edition (retail purchase)

There's something to be said for NOT getting all the latest updates and features.

Or mis-features as the case may be. 😎

When Microsoft says "it's deprecated" that means, in plain English, "it's dead".

They're killing it off under the mistaken notion that it replicates what we can otherwise do by opening another presentation then copy/pasting slides from there into the current presentation.

Anyone who's accustomed to using the Reuse Slides feature knows that this is ... well, what gets expelled from the south end of a northbound bull.

Please use the feedback feature in PowerPoint to let Microsoft know how you use the feature and why losing it will cause you unnecessary work.

    Dear David Lindsey1,

Thank you for sharing your question with the Microsoft community.

I understand that you are experiencing some issues with the ‘Reuse Slides’ feature in PowerPoint, I understand your frustration and will try to help you troubleshoot.

I also tried to test it in Microsoft 365, but I seem to have a different situation than you, according to the official article, this feature should still be supported:

In order to better understand the status of the issue, I would like to confirm some information with you first:

    • What version of Office are you currently using? You can click File->Account->Share the screenshot of the version information on the right side with us. (Please be careful to cover your personal information*)*

Looking forward to your further updates and hopefully we can gather more information to troubleshoot if this is a new issue that happened recently. We will also continue to gather information from the community to see if any users are having similar issues.

    Thank you for your understanding.

     Best regards
