How to stop automatic text wrapping in cell with line breaks•reply to same March 24, 2021

Worked today was--

•Step 1•••In the cell receiving multiple lines of text, enter the longest line of text. It shouldn't wrap but if it does, turn off Wrap Text with Format | Alignment | uncheck Wrap Text

•Step 2•••Alt | h | o | i

for the Home element on the ribbon • then the ribbon's format element • finally "Auto fit column width" i.e,, to that longest line, which is the only entry currently in the cell.

•Step 3•••Copy and paste your full contents into the cell. All of your line wraps should be in place. You can then manually resize the column width without losing your cell's wrapped lines.

•Summary--there's some formatting in that cell which when copying and pasting that cell to other cells, will make any other cell hold its wrapped lines.
