See how many downloads a SharePoint document has had

Hi,

Is it possible to see how many times a document in a SharePoint library has been downloaded?

I don't need any details other than the number of times.

Regarding your question, currently SharePoint doesn't offer a direct built-in feature to see exactly how many times a document has been downloaded. However, you can track activity on documents, including views and edits, using the built-in file activity reports.

In the file activity reports, you can see activities like views, edits, and who accessed the document, but download tracking specifically is not detailed separately from views.
