In the "page layout" section of word, A5 & A3 is no longer given as an option under "page size."

It is only Letter & A4 that is given.

This changed after updating word. And I am not having a printer installed.

The "page size" has nothing to do with the printer.

In printers you can scale it to print any size.

So, I'm sorry, I think it's nonsense that Word's settings are dependent on the printer.

If it really is so with Letter, A4, A5 & A3, Microsoft has some work to do to get A5 & A3 back again.

A5 & A3 are especially important as standards in Europe.

No one in a decision-making capacity is reading these post for suggestions. If you would like to add or change a Word feature, please use Help>Feedback>Make a suggestion. Post your idea, then others can vote on it. Microsoft uses this feedback to prioritize their programming.

In the mean time, on the Layout tab, open the Page Setup dialog, choose the Paper tab, set the Paper size dropdown to Custom size, then enter the dimensions for A5 or A3 paper to create your preferred page size.

You don't necessarily need to own a printer to be able to set a chosen printer in Word. You can install a printer driver that includes A5 and A3 sizes. Then select that as the printer in Word.

If you set Microsoft Print to PDF as your default printer, you will have a wide range of paper sizes, including A5 and A3.

Thanks a lot for your answer.

But how do I do that?

I tried to do it but couldn't find anything looking what you suggested?

    Can you explain the steps?
