Ongoing Windows 11 failed updates

If I'm reviving a closed topic, or even starting a new thread on an active Q&A, please forgive.

I use Win 11 Home 24H2 on both my desktop and laptop. This post applies only to the desktop, as the laptop functions without issue.

The June cumulative update, KB5062553, initially failed on my desktop. Download was very slow, and installation failed before completing. Windows Update Troubleshooter failed to initiate. All subsequent attempts to install the update (and there were dozens) also failed.

The July cumulative update, KB5062660, resulted in the same failure - very slow download, then install failure prior to completion. I disabled my private network firewall, but the result was the same for both updates. Same goes for attempting download/install from Safe Mode. I attempted to clear the Update Cache, but was denied access to multiple command prompts. I presume that means that cache clearing didn't succeed.

There's nothing about this that hasn't already been complained about by many other users. If anyone is aware of how to resolve this once and for all, I would greatly appreciate feedback. Thanks in advance.
