how to remove office web app on Edge

You can remove the office 365 web menu on Edge by editing the registry:

1. Open Notepad and paste the following code:

      Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
      
      [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge]
      "NewTabPageAppLauncherEnabled"=dword:00000000
   

2. Save the file with a .reg extension, for example: disable_office_launcher.reg
3. Double-click the .reg file you just created.
4. When prompted, click Run, then Yes to allow changes, and OK to confirm.
5. Restart Microsoft Edge to apply the changes.

The change might take time to have affection on Edge.You must be signed in as an administrator to apply this change. If you ever want to re-enable the App Launcher, you can change the value to dword:00000001 or delete the entry.

If your computer is own by an organization or under group policies, you will need to contact to the administrator first.
