Hi,

I have a Samsung ATIV Smart PC Pro (XE700T1C-A01AU) i am looking to upgrade it form Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, it's running the 64 bit OS, IWas just wondering if there was a specific version of Windows for tablets that i would have to use in order to not lose my touch screen function on the Samsung?

I experimented with it on my Toshiba Encore 2 with the 32 bit version and i now can't use the touch screen feature unless i go to the tablets BIOS User Interface, The HID Compoliant touchscreen driver doesn't come up in device manager on the Toshiba, i am also looking to fix that as well,

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated with these issues

Kind Regards

Adam

Between Windows updates and that Intel utility, you should be able to install all required drivers, but honestly, there are no guarantees.

That would be the best option, then if you do decide to perform the upgrade, if you have any problems with drivers, go to the Intel website to download the Intel Driver and Support Assistant to install and update all required Intel drivers.

I agree with Samsung, you should be okay, but if Samsung do not provide a full set of Windows 10 device drivers, then you may loose functionality, what type of processor is in that tablet.

There is no specific version of Windows 10 provided for tablets, before you upgrade from Windows 8 to 10 on that tablet, go to the support page for your tablet on the Samsung website to check if they provide a full set of device drivers for Windows 10, it they do not, it would be best not to upgrade that tablet to Windows 10, you may loose some functionality.
