Hi,

So recently used my PC (Surface Pro 7 on windows 10) and have acrobat paid service so use word then covert PDF - this has worked fine for years and now when I print some colours default to black (not all) so thought printer issue - made sure in word ticked the box on background colours etc, then the same happens when you convert word to PDF - same issue so for example the purple text goes to black but the underline stays purple, the blue - no problem, highlight yellow - no problem, red / yellow prints and on PDF is black .... can some one help?? thanks

    Hello,

This is a bug on Microsoft's side. There's nothing you can do until Microsoft fixes this.

For now, if you save the file as .doc instead of .docx, you might be able to print in color and convert to PDF in color. Give that a shot.

The Word product team has identified the root cause and rolled out a service change to address the issue for users. If users still see the issue on their end, they may need to close out of all open Office apps, and re-open to pick up the fix.

Just for your information: our tenant was configured to distribute O365 in Channel Preview mode; then, that error appears. We had to change to Current Channel mode and then problem disappeared.

Another workaround is to open document in web mode, even if you see some visual differences with desktop mode, and use "Export to PDF". It will prepare a good PDF same as the original document (not with web view limitations).

    Cheers.
