I would like to put a screen protector on my microsoft surface pro (11th edition) as I don't want the screen to be damaged through excessive pen use, travel, etc... I wanted to know if using a screen protector is a good idea, and how that may affect the touchscreen aspect of the laptop, pen responsiveness, and overall screen quality.

Will attaching a screen protector ruin the screen should I try to take it off? Are there any specific screen protectors you recommend?

If having a screen protector isn't the best option, what recommendations do you have for ensuring screen protection and minimal damage through the pen?

Hello M, you can absolutely use a screen protector on your Surface Pro. Use a good quality variant of a screen protector to help you protect against excessive pen use, display quality issues etc. Generally tempered glasses (around 9H hardness) should be good and there are plenty of choices there. Additionally, if you also want to protect against travel-based damages, you can think of getting an outer casing as well.
