    Hello Xivono Mushwana!

If your WiFi symbol has disappeared from your laptop and you can't find it in the taskbar or system settings, here are some steps you can take to restore it:

    Check System Tray Settings:

Right-click the taskbar and choose "Taskbar settings."

Scroll to the "Notification area" and click "Select which icons appear on the taskbar."

Make sure “Network” or “WiFi” is enabled.

         **Enable Network Icon via Settings:**

Go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar.

Under "System icons," make sure the "Network" toggle is turned on.

    1. Restart Windows Explorer:
    • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
      • Find "Windows Explorer" in the list, select it, and click "Restart" at the bottom right. Sometimes, this alone brings the missing icons back.
    1. Make Sure WiFi Is Enabled:
      • Go to Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi.
      • Ensure Wi-Fi is not missing. If it’s missing, you may need to enable it in your BIOS or check your hardware switch (some laptops have a physical switch for Wi-Fi).
Update or Reinstall Network Drivers: Press Win + X and choose Device Manager.
        Expand "Network adapters."

Right-click your WiFi adapter, select "Update driver," and follow the prompts.

If necessary, right-click and choose "Uninstall device," then reboot—Windows should automatically reinstall it.

    2. Run Network Troubleshooter:
    • Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
      • Run the “Network Adapter” troubleshooter to diagnose and fix issues.
    1. Check Airplane Mode:
      • Ensure that Airplane Mode is turned off in Settings > Network & internet.

If you’ve tried all of these and the icon is still missing, there could be a deeper system or hardware issue. In that case, let us know the results or contact your laptop manufacturer's support for further assistance.

    Best regards,

    Jerald Felix
