Hello, I had an issue with my PC and had to create a new Microsoft account. The only problem is that I lost the login for my main Microsoft account. I have tried the Microsoft account recovery and used my phone number to see if I could gain access back, but it says I have 3 different accounts. I recognize the first one, but I don't remember the full email. Does anyone know what to do

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

Learn Q&A is public, and we can only provide information. It is beyond our capability to assist directly with the account or login-related issues.

Since you mentioned that your phone number shows 3 accounts and you only recognize one but can’t recall the full email, can I ask:

    1. Do you still have access to the phone number linked to the account?
    2. When you say you don’t remember the full email, do you recall part of it, maybe the first few letters or the domain (like @outlook.com, @hotmail.com)?
    3. Have you tried visiting https://account.live.com/username/recover This tool helps you look up the full email address using your phone number or recovery email, if it's linked.

Also, if you think you recognize the account when trying to sign in, Microsoft’s recovery form can be a bit tricky. It helps to fill it out from a device or location you've used before (like your old PC or browser), and include as much detail as possible, like past passwords, Xbox gamertag (if used), or recent emails sent.

Let me know a bit more about what you’ve already tried, and I’ll walk with you through the next steps.
