Hi! Microsoft retired the consumer Skype apps on May 5 2025. The Skype mobile apps were removed from the App Store, and new purchases of Skype Credit, Skype Number and subscriptions stopped. Existing paid users keep their balance and any still-active Skype Number, but you now access them through the Skype web portal or Microsoft Teams Free instead of the old Skype app

    1. Open App Store > Search and install Microsoft Teams.
    2. Sign in with the same Microsoft/Skype account you used in Skype.
    3. Tap Calls > Dial Pad. The dial pad appears automatically only when your account has an active Skype Credit balance or an un-expired calling/Skype Number subscription.
    4. Your remaining Skype Credit will show in the banner above the dial pad, ready for pay-as-you-go calls.
      1. If you had an active Skype Number, incoming calls will now ring in Teams and in the Skype web portal.

Skype cannot be restored because this application was discontinued in May this year.

If you still have some remaining Skype credit then you can continue using this credit to make phone calls from Skype Dial Pad on the Web.
